Arsenal In Bendtner Contract Talks

Promising Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner is currently in contract talks with the club over a new deal.

Bendtner who is currently on loan at Birmingham has been linked with moves abroad and to Celtic & Rangers. However the players agent says there's no chance of him moving away and will fight for a place at Arsenal.

Thomas Bendtner said: 'There is a lot of interest in him in Britain and elsewhere. But the current situation is that we are talking with Arsenal about a new contract and we expect to agree something within the next few weeks.

'He has been told he will be staying with Arsenal next season and will be expected to fight for his first-team place. We are delighted by that and we are confident that he can be a success there.'

The astute readers will have noticed Bendtner's agent is of the same surname, well his father is going to have his best interests at heart isn't he?!

Adibodycanscore
Good to know he is willing to fight for his place, shows good attitude. I hope he lives up to his hype.

Get rid of Beast and play him instead....use the money we save on getting some experience in the team.
AB_Arsenal
anyone know if vela will be back next season also, will be good to see him playing in the carling cup !
hazzagooner
Vela says he wants to go on loan to a Serie A club next season, so I doubt he will be back.
prits
I think Vela needs to stay out one more year due to EU restrictions. He looks a great player. Bendtner will be a good option to have and can't be any worse then the Beast and Aliadiare.
d11gunner
I would keep the Beast and the young lad, they need to learn from those guys. I do think he will be a hit. I cant wait til next season.
gunnerb
d11gunner,come on now.you start with "I think" when we all know that an Arsenal fan is not adapt enough yet to actually think for himself. You all think what your told by whoever happens to be your manager at the time.So stop trying to think and go flip those burgers you cockney wide boy!
madmick1
Just hope the kids lives up to his potential. I`m sure he will as Arsenal do not produce many *****e players these days. Not like spuds, that Tom Huddleston is utter trash as is, oh thats is aint it, they aint got any other players from their ranks.
gunnerb
Sorry, I meant La Liga, not Serie A.
prits
if he signs i hope wenger plays him next season, would be good in first team !
PUREGOLD
He is a natural goal scorer and will be our best signing all season if he can put pen to paper.
Arsenal1991
