That one is a 'quickie' by Mr. Mustchin on the spuddies.
G4L
I advise everybody to go to the thread before this and read the post from chalky76. It was a real cracker!
Little Dutch
blah blah blah!!! Spuds made it till April before their season is over. Last season their season was over as early as January-New year day!!!
49ers
is there a english in the UEFA then ? oh no sorry there isn't HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !!! seville made them look just like their other product of the region, MARMALADE !
PUREGOLD
Did anyone else notice that Anne Widdecombe goes down easier than Robinson? For the goals, by the time he weebled to the ground Tottenham had already kicked off again.
Little Dutch
ah i can sleep peacefully tonight..... will spurs fans never learn to keep their mouthes shut until after they win something? that way they'd keep quite forever and it wud be a lot more peaceful! Up the Spanish!
D4NNYT
anyone notice how barbie doll went missing ? thought he was supposed to be a class player !
PUREGOLD
A familiar pattern emerges with the spuds. It seems that every time they come up against a decent team in a cup competition they go out! I wonder if this is because they are crap. It might be a good idea for the cup organisers to give them a bye in all rounds in future. The only problem is, if they come up against a half decent bye, they'd probably go out.
flv
INTERVIEWR: So Martin, over the two legs do you think the better team went through? JOL: ..................*Looks at his feet for an extrodinarily long time*.............
Rocky7
I guess all those tickets they purchased for Hampden will be up for sale on Ebay! They only came back into when Sevilla took their foot off the pedal and took off Alves. Everytime they faced quality in any competition they were found wanting. Mail Cusop and ask him to submit a match report!
iceman10
same old sp*rs... they never learn, do they? I remember many of them coming here and putting us down for the 'brawl' in the CC Final as 'bad losers'. Well today we saw the graceful LOSERS like Tainio, Defoe, Lennon et. al. attempting to end the opposing players careers. Hypocrisy rules!
G4L
LMFAO @ flv
Rocky7
LMAO Rocky! I thought his head was gonna explode on live T.V! It had to be 10 seconds before he answered the simple question of did the best team go through! Yes they did Martin you fat C*@t!
iceman10
Here I offer you some cusop wisdom: "Ok lets start with that rousing song .. We are all going on a summer holiday "" In the south of France" No need to sing the blues when your feeling it boys.. Oye Jockey loved yesterday will be back my old China!! He!! He !!"
G4L
Gotta laugh at Robbo in the fourth minute of injury time running over to put the ball on the corner spot, he blatantly thought Spuds only needed one goal. Mind you, in fairness, the only numeric quantities he's familiar with are hundreds and thousands.
Little Dutch
ah LD I finally found the post you mentioned... OUTfeckingSTANDING!! a reminder: "Gonna score in a minute, were gonna score in a minute, score in a minute,oh were gonna score in a minute...........Hey Goners, let us know what happened in Eastenders tonight will yer...!!See yer"s..!!(Chalky dances a little jig & heads off to witness a famous glory glory night at WHL,the world famous home of the SPURS..!!)He he he". yes signed by cusop's cousin - chalky.
G4L
Tottenham, more commonly known as spuds, are without doubt the biggest bottlers in the world football, what maks this fact all the more sweeter is that they are they only ones who don't know it. Season after season they genuinely believe they are going to win the world cup, and as always they do just enough to get their deluded hopes up, before reality reminds them that they are and always will be spudtacular. Congratulations Sevilla, a team more humble than spuds yet with much more ability.
Professor Calculus
and dozens... of pies.
G4L
chalky will need some of cosmic pete's special home made "chalk" tonight.
Little Dutch
sigh...an ex spud killed their european wet dream...man its a good day to be a gooner...finally some cheer in this forum...!!!
Wenger_Knows
And reel 'em in...
simmy8_2000
it would have never been so fun hadn't those ****ups been here talking their mouths off. bravo!
G4L
LD, Robbo is still on the corner spot now! Apparently, it's the only place in the Swan Vestas Matchbox, where the cranes can lower the winch to get him outta there.
flv
daniel alves seems to be decent player...though i doubt the fact that AW will go for him...n a little disappointed that he might not make any big name signings...
Wenger_Knows
though he already qualified the test to be a gooner...make spuds ***** in their pants...10/10 for that...!!
Wenger_Knows
10/10 for flv tonight
G4L
ITV has got to stop panning the camera around the stadium and showing the mongrels faces! I know its past the watershed but I was genuinely disturbed by some of the twisted faces I witnessed!
iceman10
I can't wait to see Daniel Levy's complaint letter to UEFA tomorrow morning! I'm running a spreadbet on which hotel he will blame. The Savoy at 5s, you can get 11-1 on the ritz, or a very generous 4-5 on the King's Cross Travel inn. Any takers?
Little Dutch
Iceman, I thought it was a nice touch mixing football with Survival Special, though I thought they could've got David Attenborough in to do the commentry to add that classy touch 8-)
flv
Haha, top form flv! I thought I was watching Dawn of the dead or possibly Shaun of the dead as it was f*@king hilairious!
iceman10
I thought I had sat on the remote and unwittingly turned to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." I swear I saw someone stand up demanding their cigarettes be returned to them!
Little Dutch
Oh and ten out of ten for Zokora and Chimbonda's little tumbles in the box. Fair play all the way with the Spuddies.
Little Dutch
Did you hear Dury & Pleat when Zakora went down? "Phwoar, what a foul, that was a clear penalty" Mugs.
Rocky7
Or 'Deliverance' 8-)
flv
And every time a Sevilla player goes down "Well, there was minimal contact and he's making a meal of it." Just makes the result that little bit sweeter if you ask me!
simmy8_2000
What say we go and see what our imbred neighbours have to say about this....
simmy8_2000
Can you make a meal out of being Jacky Channed in the balls?
iceman10
little bit pathetic to be honest. fans of one small club from london rejoicing over the failure of another small club from london :)
Vidicinho
Already there dude.
Rocky7
So I see! lol. Have you seen WSV's latest victem...UEFA "UEFA are gay"...such a witty fellow!
simmy8_2000
Vidicinho, I don't see any Barnet fans taking the ***** outta Spurs over here! Stop munching the mushrooms.
flv
Though saying that, the Barnet fans are quite welcome to join us and the rest of London in laughing at the potential Champions League winners of sometime, going out of the cup.
flv
did you see the delirious raving-knuckle-dragger faces of some of their fans when the camera did close-ups in the last 20 minutes? What a sight to behold.
Andy-bayor
so i guess we won't be hearing much from spuds the rest of the season, or until we go to whiet ****e lane, then they will be back giving the usual cr@p....
PUREGOLD
U cant tell me you missed the next stage in Tottenhams plan for world domination.
AB_Arsenal
So what did happen on eastenders.. did dawn find out rocky was kant and LD was a gay lesbian ... I have to have my out let and this is great place.. There is a part of me that wishes you were all in iran and I was President bush .. nighty nighty....
cusop
LAMO, flv, iceman etal. spurs were completely outplayed in the 1st half, and it didnt look like a match at *****e hart lane to me. cusop - u dont ever learn, do ya? stop spouting off next time, and where's chalky? these fellas have a habit of disappearing after games like this, though we are made painfully aware of their presence before !!
prits
cusop come back. gays, lesbians, pikeys... very witty indeed.
G4L
cusop why so sad? Its the best thing Sp*rs have done in a while so there is no need to be sad, chin up maybe next year you will get to the semi-finals of the Uefa cup.
AB_Arsenal
Puregold. Please refrain from coming on our site calling our fans mindless thugs for having their teeth knocked out for sitting in a wheelchair or taking pictures of their players.
Jacky B
G4L, those comments about our players trying to end there careers are a bit silly. Poulsen tried to end Jenas' life, and they rolled around on the floor for the entire 2 legs. I just wish, we could be more wiley, or get given a route back into a game by a ref when we are being out played.
Jacky B
Is it Gospel that ur fans did nothing to provoke the police in Spain or are you just making it up Jacky? That Alves is a good player isnt he!?
iceman10
Did the seats unscrew themselves and jump towards the police as if Harry Potter had cast some wicked spell upon them?
iceman10
Or is Puregold making it up? and was there any trouble last night? and did our fan get his teeth knocked out for taking a photo? Yes he is indeed.
Jacky B
Did the battons drag themselves towards the faces of our fans
Jacky B
Funny how I've heard this "disabled fans were hit by police" fable from Man Utd AND Spurs. I've been to Roma's stadium and the disabled fans don't sit anywhere near where the trouble was going off. Sounds like a cheap get out to me. The police in Italy and Spain are severe, they're very unpleasant, but the reason Arsenal haven't found trouble in Spain or Italy in years and years is because we don't communicate with people by throwing chairs.
Little Dutch
Do you have this incident on Camera? please post the link. Was there any trouble at your ground when Arsenal visited....Yes, did thugs run around Chelsea with wood and nails.....yes, Did one of your fans attempt to punch Frank Lampard.....yes. PG has a better case for being right than you.
iceman10
So you wouldnt Baton somebody if they threw a chair at you?
iceman10
am I a mindless thug? No, so dont make ridiculous generalisations. All teams have silly fans, but i genuinely believe the Spurs in Spain were not in the wrong. Also, if Martin Jol says he saw afan get his face smashed for taking a pic, then i believe him. Do you know why? Cos he at least has the ability to see incidents and flashpoints.
Jacky B
Truth is all this bitterness is because the game was over within 8 minutes and Sp*rs just dont cut the mustard against good sides. Alves, Kanoute and the Russian dude were killing you and you only got back into the game because they eased off. Another false dawn of a season...47 and counting.
iceman10
no, Vanilla, I might throw a chair at them if i was hit with a baton though.
Jacky B
I am actually proud, and not bitter at all. I thought we gave it a good go, and were it not for a dodgy pen, and sunday morning clearance, we would still be in it. But also if Berbs and Dawson took their chances we would also still be in it. So there are a lot of contributing factors. I notice there is not a mention of our fans who sang their hearts out all night?
Jacky B
Yeah he never lies. "play, play" screamed Martin Jol whilst Eboue and Gilberto were asking for treatment on the ground, Jol said he did not see the incident. So Martin Was sitting amongst the fans in Seville was he? Funny I saw him in the dugout. You have no proof and you are accusing the police, for all you know your own fans could have punched this guy. Accusing people without evidence is terrible ask the marriott hotel and the 'Gooner' chef.
iceman10
Why would we mention your fans after they attacked police and stained the English reputation in europe? Sevilla destroyed you and it should have been 4-0 within 30 minutes. Be proud that you gave it a go but dont fool yourself because Sevilla eased off.
iceman10
And if you call me Vanilla il just call you Jacky Stallone! Ner Ner!
iceman10
dont make me tell you again that it was Eboue on the ground, then up, then down. and if thats all you have got on Jol who has a rep for being a nice guy, and honest,(can the same be said of Whinger)then I know you know nothing. You also have no proof and are accusing our fans.
Jacky B
They "should have scored for in the in the first 30 mins". We "should" have scored 4 in the second half. They destroyed us 4-3 on aggregate? hmmm
Jacky B
for = four (sorry)
Jacky B
Ive got still pictures of seats flying through the air, its more than you have! Keep your nice guy Jol and il keep Bad loser Wenger, UTD will keep bad loser Ferguson and Chavs will keep bad loser Mourinho then we will see what each team wins in the next 5 years. I would believe the police over your lot anyday as the incidents that i listed above paint a sorry picture of how your fans are percieved.
iceman10
Last night they destoyed you for 30 minutes it was embarrasing to watch. Now listen......They eased off and allowed you back into the game, they took of 2 of their best players and nearly paid for it, your team let you down, it was another false dawn.
iceman10
*took off
iceman10
You keep those sort of pictures? how sad, but righteous of you. I dont give a monkey's how you think our fans are perceived. Perceived by who exactly? you? some other gooner knobs?
Jacky B
i dont think they let me down, i think they played with real passion, but agrreed that was not enough on the night.
Jacky B
I think its your players who are letting you down with gutless display after abject display after goalless display.
Jacky B
I dont keep those sort of pictures but with it being 2007 and the fact I can Type 'Spurs Thugs' into google means I have seen them. Its not just Gooners who see your ground as the worst to visit in the prem for fear of being attacked, some dude from Vital Villa said the same thing. Thugs running around Chelsea Village, Attacks on players, not good for the reputation is it?
iceman10
the MET police also did not want 9000 of you at the grove.
iceman10
You are entitled to your opinion over my team team however remember it was that gutless, goaless team who had you lads springing from the exits 5 minutes before time at the grove and shut you up when 2-0 ahead at the matchbox.
iceman10
Yes very good, but how have you fared since things got a little bit tough? I suppose that was a "Kids team" that beat us, but its only really showing now.
Jacky B
Jacky, as I only saw the last 5 mins of the match and then the highlights (from all the matches), I managed to see the Tainio 'tackle' on Puerta (who ran him ragged all night), and then a few tackles by Lennon and Defoe with the ball nowhere in sight. Was it because they were mistimed or because you were losing? Poulsen's tackle was also bad, worthy of a yellow at least, but I am mentioning this in the light of the criticism of Arsenal's brawl in the CC Final, where we were branded as 'bad losers', which coming from any team, especially sp*rs is plain hypocritical.
G4L
and as for the thuggery of your fellow fans (not generalizing, as I consider you a very pleasant bloke as most of us do here), as mentioned here, it is not the Gooners or the press who are giving you a bad name, it is a string of numerous incidents that have created this image of the spuds.
G4L
If you are referring to the Defoe tackle which i think you are, then he didn't touch the man. And if i was playing, i would have wanted to have given them something to roll around on the floor for, which Puerto and Alves in particular, were happy to do all night. And hypocritical as it may be,(or not in this case) Arsenal are bad losers. Wouldn't be so bad if you were born winners, which at least Chelski, and Man U can point to recently
Jacky B
Back to the point of them rolling around. If they could play such fast flowing attractive football in the first half, why did they hav eto start cheating to break up play in the second?
Jacky B
Jacky B, You say Martin Jol sees incidents.......??? What like the Zokora dive against Portsmouth!! He, like any other manager only sees what he wants to!! Sevilla were two or three classes above spuds & should have been 0-5 up at half time. Spuds were the better team in the second half because sevilla, quite rightly, believed the job was done & eased off. The first team of any note that spuds have faced in the uefa cup & you couldn't live with them!! You should get another go next season though.
Ashburton Gooner
all you guys who came on the spurs site last night. oh my god. do you have a life? are you that sad that you have to stay in on your computers on a thursday night and talk in forums. i dont mind banter. fair play to that, but to live your life around football is sad enough but around a team who you dont support. you must be the saddest muppetts ever. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
yiddo10
You picked the Defoe tackle (the least dangerous one - right on the shin), what about Tainio's? Puerta had stud holes in his thigh. Sign of a graceful loser? Obviously, there are no good losers, as there are no born winners. The chavs would have been down there with Leeds if the dirty Russian did not decide to save them from oblivion. Manure were nowhere to be seen in the last 3 years and finished 4th in their CL group last year. 'Recently' is the key word. Branding Arsenal ONLY as 'bad losers is hypocritical. You know it.
G4L
yiddo10 I guess you dont know CUSOP then? He is the Saddest of all and he is a sp*rs fan. Can dish it out but cant take it...ahhhhh didums.
iceman10
yiddo, why don't you visit the threads here PREVIOUS to your monumental game against Sevilla, and see what your fellow cockerels had to say. If you are ready to dish it, be ready to take it. The stick that is.
G4L
hehe iceman. beat me to it
G4L
tiddo10, hypocrite? Yes. jackyb, I sympathise, really I do, Seville's tactics after they had gone 2-0 up were absolutely clear. It was a bit like England when they played whoever it was they lasy played, it's terribly frustrating. Unfortunately, we have had to watch teams who can't compete with us in footballing terms do that to us all season, when we have the gall to complain about it, we're called bad losers. The only teams we have played this season who haven't resorted to that have been destroyed by us. But when it happens to us, the British media shrugs and says, "what do you expect the other team to do?" Whilst that attitude prevails, anti football will always win.
Little Dutch
Jacky i stand by my comment which i see you have removed.. i saw plenty of seats being thrown, it wasn't against the seville fans but against the police... which would then make your supporters mindless... what do they think they are going to acheive by arguing, fighting, and being outright agressive towards the spanish police.. if you behave they leave you alone, simple... the spanish and italians are the worst, but if you are well behaved then there is no problem.. spurs fans are generally the worst set of travelling fans, leeds are close too and it gives the english supporters a bad name.. arsenal have been travelling around europe for many years and its supporters are well behaved and never have any trouble.. as for your team last night jacky, you can't live on IFs and BUTs and MAYBE's... you lost the game in spain, and then in the first 3 minutes, it was all over and Seville took their foot off the pedal and let you come at them second half, they still had the quality to defend their lead.
PUREGOLD
unfortunately LD, that is one of the reasons why I have no sympathy for any of them. They are the first who jump and slate Arsenal and Wenger when they face and criticize the time-wasting, cheating, Chris Kirkland type of mentality players and teams. As soon as they come up against a side that does that to them - it is all good. Well, **** them I say. Tough ****. Plus we're speaking about Sevilla, 2nd in La Liga, Uefa and Super Cup winners and currently involved in Copa Del Rey as well. We're not talking Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton and Boro here.
G4L
G4L , again, defoe did not touch him. Tainio's tackle was naughty, but if you are gonna roll around and cry like a baby, then people will get frustrated and kick you. And i dont understand how a ref can not see a stamp on the head, a punch in the face, and a dirty challenge from behind. ***** refs both legs.
Jacky B
I thought you didn't watch Tiddlywinks LD? The difference being refs are wise to it over here. I sympathise when teams "cheat" and time waste against you. But Its when teams play hard and fair, but you still moan that gets my goat.
Jacky B
Puregold has been conspicuos by his absence in between you exiting all comps, and us losing last night
Jacky B
I couldn't resist last night, it was on ITV1 afterall! I honestly cannot remember a time Wenger complained about a team that was 'hard and fair', in those situations, like last season when we lost at Goodison or Blackburn, he did not criticise the opposition at all. When Shearer put in the most disgusting, despicable demonstration I have ever seen from any "footballer" ever at St. James' last year, Wenger called him on it and got called a moaner. The fact is, you're either against the cheats, including when your rivals are cheated and when your own team cheats, or your with them. I think Navas should have been sent off for swinging an arm at Berbatov and it should have been a pen. Zokora could have had a pen but did himself out of it with his hystrionics. Tainio's tackle was awful, I understand that he was frustrated, but it's still the symptom of being a bad loser. Let's face it, whoever got to the very top of a sporting profession by being a good loser. Fabregas is the most petulant, spoiled loser I have ever seen, he gets a right hump on. That's what will make him great.
Little Dutch
So you say we could/should have had 2 pens last night, and they should have had ten men. Add to that their pen in the first leg and we are comfortably through. Not to mention that ridiculous OG from Malbranque, so for these muppets on here and our site to say we were deservedly and thouroughly beaten is just plain wrong. even taking in to account all of the above it wa sstill only 4-3 on aggregate to the second best team in Spain
Jacky B
You shouldn't have had any penalties last night & Malbranque DID score an own goal. Taking like that actually makes you a muppet, nobody else!! It's like me or any other arsenal fan saying if we scored in every game & didn't concede in any we would win them all. An obvious statement but ridiculous cos its never going to happen. At least you recognise that spuds are only the 7th best team in england though!!
Ashburton Gooner
Jacky I give you the fact that you should have had one clear penalty and one of them off the pitch last night... and that overall I think you could have been luckier. I personally feel sickened when players (even those playing against you) act like idiots and try to stall games - its called cheating and all cheats should go to hell in my book - its not right but it's rife in football - I support post-match punishment of cheats based on replays. One other point - JJ is not fit to be a midfield general!! Regarding Spud supporters, what are we to do with the good number of buffoons that come on here calling us allsorts, apart from gloat when you lose again?
Andy-bayor
You can bemoan bad refereeing and we should have, could have, would have jacky, it just didnt happen for you. Welcome to the real world, where things like this happen. All those fans that we read about in an earlier vital football article pre ordering their final tickets will now have to ebay them......dont say you werent warned!
TR7
Jacky, I saw the Jenas incident, and I didnt think it was deliberate. I said so on the spurs site as well, it was just unfortunate that jenas came sliding in for that tackle. But overall, the ref was not very good, the Zokora penalty call was marginal, I felt. Otherwise, you only have yourselves to blame coz Berbatov and Dawson missed gilt-edged chances to win the tie for you.
prits
I will come to Jacky's aid a little here. While I can't account for the rest of the Tottenham fans who were fighting or whatever in Sevilla, the guy who had his face smashed in for taking a photo was genuinely innocent. How do I know? He is one of my mates cousins. He was taking a picture of the team team bus and was batoned on the back of the legs and then hit in the teeth. He was locked up and ordered to pay 800 or face 12 month in prison (probably lined the coppers pockets) so on this occassion, the guy was not to blame.
Rocky7
I hear what you're saying Jacky, but Seville exuded class in the first thirty minutes of the first half and did all they had to. Class sides do that, destroy teams in short spaces of time. That's something our team needs to start doing again, and is capable of doing. Like West Ham last Saturday, we should have put them away in the first 15 mins but we didn't. I contrast that to a game up at Leeds in our unbeaten year where every time Leeds atatcked, we broke and scored and were 3-0 up in 20 minutes. Overall, I would say Spurs had a lot of huff and puff, but Seville were just on a different level. There's no shame in that, Seville are on a different level from most teams in Europe right now. I certainly wouldn't want to play them right now.
Little Dutch
Ashburton. You are a muppet, as all i was pointing out was that with all of those factors we were beaten by 4-3.Yeah we threw it away, but we were not embarrassed as some of you have been suggesting. I dont like talking in "ifs" and "buts" and i will not try and dress up what was a bad night. I will challenge those of you talkin utter *****e though.
Jacky B
The thing is we have had *****e refs throughout the comp. Its different when you actually play a decent side though, and much harder to over come. I mean we only just got past braga. With a decent ref they would not have scored a single goal. They got 4
Jacky B
As good as they were, we gave them their 2 goals and they did not score from all their good play
Jacky B
obviously, that is not intended as a big defence, just responses to various posts above defending the ref, saying we got thumped etc
Jacky B
Jacky, for a sp*rs fan you do have the rare quality of talking some sense, I agree you werent thumped, but you had all the fight and relatively no end product...sounds familiar this, whilst some of the refereeing in European matches is criminal it is an unfortunate part of the lottery that is european football, i hate it as much as you do but they say you need luck aswell as skill to win competitions, maybe this extends to getting the decisions aswell?
TR7
my absence is due to end of march being our financial year end and the busiest time of my working calender, plus i managed to take the wife away for our 10 year anniversary, nothing to do with my teams performance of lack of. jacky whislt i normally agree with alot of the things you say, i think you are sligthtly rose tinted when it comes to your own team, but then again (sigh) who isn't ! manyh arsenal fans moan and groan and decisions that go against us, many times we should of had penalties, free kicks, disallowed goals etc etc but then we have also had decisions go our way. I believe over the course of a season you get the rub of the green, and if the team is good enough, the get more luck than bad. it is very easy for fans to blame a few decisions that cost you the game(s) because thats what the TV highlights. i actually watched the game last night, i thought zokora and lennon were showing real fight, but Jol's decision to play King who looked so rusty and knackered towards the end was a bad one, his decision to take Zokora off was bad, and then if you highlight the fact that Keane and Berbatov didn't perform in that game last night along with a few others, possibly means the players only have themselves to blame. how can a team show passion when their manager sits their on the dugout looking all doom and gloom and not showing fight and passion ?

Yes i do. Do you think your boys can stomach even more of a dog fight with Bolton?
Jacky B
ahhh thats enough question jacky, we can't find a win for toffee at the moment and now we face our nemisis in bolton, great timing huh ! without RVP & Henry we really do struggle, but you know when we have our backs against the wall we seem to find the result we need and get the job done.. i do remember a certain visit late last year when we were poor and another north london team we flying and it was said if they were going to get a result at AG it was now, arsenal went onto to destroy them.
