Optomistic Gooners Say 'Third'

In the latest Vital Arsenal poll, we asked were you thought the mighty Gunners would finish in the league.

Rather surprisingly a mammoth 45% of readers thought we could pip Liverpool into third place despite only winning one of our last four.

However with Liverpool in the semi final's of the Champions League it would only take one slip and third would be in our hands.

A combined total of 19% (the Spurs contingent on the site) thought we would start next season without Champions League football.

Yeah right.

I think we will finish third, we are a better team than Liverpool we proved that three times this year.

why is hleb not on the poll for who hasnt been up to standard? baptista is in his first year of english football, hleb is in his 2nd - hardly seems fair to include one and not the other!

I fail to see the significance of finishing third instead of fourth as both places qualify for the CL.

how can baptista not live up to his standard, he hasnt ever been here before. he had no standard. Henry hasnt been himself but that not his fault. Its got to be Senderos. He was so good last year but not this year at all.

the last poll was started before our sad loss to west ham and our dull performance against newcastle, so the optimism might have come before those two games ...
