Eboue: Next Year Will Be Our Year

Manu Eboue is confident The Arsenal can over come their 'failings' of the past couple of years with simple experience, indeed the Gunners fullback claims 'next year will be our year'.

Arsenal's young Gunners have been have been a gnat's pube away from European and Carling cup glory in the last 12 months, and Eboue puts this down to lack of experience and will overcome this in the 07/08 season.

'We still have a young team, we are still learning - but we are doing so very quickly,' the Ivory Coast defender said.

'We saw this season that we are now beating the big teams like Manchester United and Liverpool and drawing at Chelsea. We just lack a bit of consistency.'

'I am confident in our squad, in the work we do with the coaches, and in the football we are playing.'

'We want to win trophies for the club and our fans. We were close last year in the Champions League and this season in the Carling Cup. We learnt from those two defeats.'

'We are all looking forward to next season because we know it will be our year.'

'Do not forget as well that we had lots of players injured this season. If we had our strongest team available throughout the season, it would have been different.'

I like him as an attacking footballer and i think he is right.

I like the voices coming from the Arsenal: first Titi, Clichy, Cesc, Eboue all seem to be eager to prove their true value. Brings back the optimism.

yep, they are making the right noises, but nothing surprising in what they are saying, really.

Oi, Eboue! Stop! We love your attacking instincts! When you are going forward you are a joy to behold!!! But if you should not brush up your defending and if you should let a spud or chav skin you on the wing! And if he should then go on to cause us problems? I will say, EBOUE!!!! NOOOOOOO!! That is not how you defend and you had best improve your tackling in order to keep out back line intact!! And I will point out that it would be wise for you to get a bit of attitude management so you dont blow over so often! Honestly! cough cough... despite that I'm 110% behind you son!

next season starts this sunday. watchout for "The Invincibles" of 2007/08. but i'd give up the League Title, the FA and League Cup just to have a shot at The Champions League final next season. come on lads, we are all behind you like always, lets win the European Cup now and have our name on that trophy. i really have a strong feeling next season we'll do it..

Defiantly needs to improve his defending. But good to see there is confidence in the team.

We definately need the trophy next term and such confidence by the players is big morale booster. Thats a good mental preparation and now we need the physical hunger to win

Don't tell me! You're gonna sign another final piece of the jigsaw just like Cesspool!

werent Sheva and Ballack the final pieces required for Chelsea to win the champions league? Even Fat Jimmy Floyd got to the semis.
