Wenger To Talk To Real Madrid

Arsene Wenger will talk to Real Madrid this week about the future of Jose Antonio Reyes

The future of the winger has been in doubt for quite sometime now after failing to impress in Spain and burning his bridges with the Arsenal.

'I will sit down with Madrid and talk about Reyes this week. Once we find out what they want to do with him we will make a decision. We have missed him at some points this season because he is a natural winger but we shall wait and see what happens.' said Le Boss.

I assume that the decision that AW will make after the talks with Madrid will be to where he will sell Reyes when Real say 'NO'.

Apparently Athletico still want him, we can only hope. I will now cling to the dream that Wenger is actually considering buying a winger if he feels we have missed Reyes at certain times this season.

I would like reyes back....He was pretty good.
Goofle
no way keep him away i liked him but his attitude was s*&t
mish
If he could sort his attitude I would welcome him back with open arms, but that will never change. AG, Athletic have issued a statement saying they're not interested.
Rocky7
Well I got that completely wrong, apparently they dont want him
Ashburton Gooner
R7- maybe they are trying to get him at a cheaper price. They wanted him last summer so I suppose until he signs somewhere we wont know.
Ashburton Gooner
He is not wanted because they see his attitiude. If he agrees that he is not wanted we could have him!
Goofle
Dunno AG, I can't see Wenger accpeting too much of a loss with Reyes. Watch this space I guess.
Rocky7
There is no doubt that Arsene would like him, but hasn't he already said that "It's like you want Miss world, but she doesn't want to go out with you etc etc". I can't see it happening with Reyes unless ALL the media reports are trash - which I find hard to believe.
Andy-bayor
I just hope whoever buys him compensates us at least 10 million for him....hopefully :)
AB_Arsenal
Well that comment seems to hint at the fact that he's going to buy a winger. Though that's quite obvious, Ljungberg will go. Reyes cannot come back, it would harm team spirit.
Little Dutch
I can't see Ljungberg going. He has it too easy at arsenal, massive salary & all. No top team will buy him & no team would pay those 70k a week wages so its highly unlikely he will move on, add to that the fact he is injury prone & he probably accepts himself he cant play a whole season so why move when you can stay at arsenal & get in the team on the rare occasions you are fit.
Ashburton Gooner
Maybe he will go back to Sevila!
afghenry
He doesnt want to come back and we can make a few bucks by selling him and get another player willing to commit himself to the cause at Arsenal
Zimbolicious
Sad thing is no big club wants him any more and he has no one but himself to blame. Typical example of weak character. And I really liked him when he arrived.
G4L
well actually Reyes was great for RM at the beginning of the season, he only lost form when Capello dropped him in favour of italian style BORING football - he also dropped Robinho but was forced to include him by the president after the crowd went crazy - capello simply doesnt like attacking football or attacking footballers
bootoo
I only hope we dont make too much of a loss on the 21M we paid for Reyes !!
prits
Reyes would do well if capello didnt kill good football. When they bring in that new manager that they have already signed a pre-contract with he will do well there. Maybe we could get robinho for reyes and cash. The beast is going to turkey so hes not really in the equation.
gunnerkid107
so im guessing that we are making room for ribery in our lineup...
ahops101
He won't be back, just hope we get a decent chunk of the fee we paid for him.
