'If It's Football, It's Vital'

VA Young Player Of The Season

Gael Clichy has been named Vital Arsenal young player of the year.

Following on from the vote for the Player of the year (Winner: Cesc Fabregas) the readers of our wonderful ite have now voted Gael Clichy as their young player of the year.

Gael came into the side after the acrimonious departure of he who shall not be named and more than lived up to expectation. Clichy has often been touted as the next big thing as far as left backs go, while all the time never getting past the stage of 'potential'.

Well Clichy was handed the chance to prove himself and he grabbed it with both hands.

Marauding down the left flank, flying tackles, grit, determination, flair, the kid has everything, and is the sole reason that the departure of the unwashed has become more palatable, and indeed even forgotten for some Gooners.

His performances did not go unnoticed on the international stage and Gael was soon to receive his first international call up.

So well done on your first full season and more of the same next season please.

Ashley who?

Next up, goal of the season.
