Vital Arsenal Goal Of The Season

Vital Arsenal Goal Of The Season

Readers of Vital Arsenal have voted with their clicking fingers and the result is nothing more than I expected.

Even in my lack of memory in forgetting to include crackers such as van Persie's freekick v Everton or 2 Tommy Rosicky screamers v Hamburg & Liverpool, this result was one that was never in doubt.

Vital Arsenal goal of the season was scored, smashed, pummelled and ripsnorted home by Robin van Persie at the Valley.

From the moment the ball left his foot, there was only going to be one winner of goal of the season. A strike which brought plaudits from all over the globe, a goal fit for a king (of the cage).

After taking up the usual position that season of being a goal down, RvP brought the sides level with a smartly taken goal to take the sides in level at half time. However 5 minutes into the second half the Dutch goal grabber stonked home an effort mostly that he will mostly likely never top.

A marauding Eboue whipped in a speculative cross which van Persie made look half decent by leaping like a gazelle and leathering past a stunned Charlton goalkeeper.

William Shakespeare would have problems coming up with adequate words to accurately describe this stunning goal, so a fat bloke with the vocabulary of a vole is going to have problems, so sod it, have a butchers for yourselves.

Enjoy.
