Nicklas Bendtner Confirms New Deal

Premiership star wannabe, Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed he has extended his stay at Arsenal after show down talks with Arsene Wenger and his team.

Bendtner is highly rated amongst the Arsenal back room staff, indeed, a successful season in the Championship helped Birmingham regain their Premiership status whilst at the same time becoming a full international for his home country of Denmark.

His new deal became apparent as the young striker spoke of his ambition and determination to break through into the Arsenal first team. There has been no official word of the deal from the club itself (although they religiously seem to hold this information back, ala Adebayor's new contract) and the only other hint came from Bendtner agent / father.

'It has always been my goal to get my breakthrough at Arsenal, there were no other clubs that were interesting for me. I know I have the right qualities, or will be able to develop them.' He told TV2

'I truly believe that I can break through on that level, and I have had meetings with them where they have told me that I figure in their plans for the future.

'If that had not happened, neither they nor I would have signed this deal.'

Bendtner revealed his determination to claim a starting berth stating when his time arrives, he will cease it with both hands.

'The other [strikers] may have an advantage over me, but when I restart training and get some good matches under my belt, I am sure I will get my chance and I will take it.'
