Merida to return to Spain?
Sky Sports today reports that Atletico Madrid are keen to take Arsenal youngster Fran Merida back to Spain for the the forthcoming season.
But rest easy Gooners, for 'tis only on loan.
The website reports that Arsenal are keen for Fran to obtain top flight experience to ready him for a career in the Premiership, and state that Wenger met with Atletico officials recently to discuss the potential move.
A decision is expected some time later this month.
This report is more reliable than the one which has also appeared on tribalfootball, which states that that the Atletico proposal is all to do with a permanent deal.
