Tommy: Henry must stay

What with all the mish-mash of tripe flying around, with Barca saying if TH14 expressed a desire to join them, they would bid, Milan's Ancelloti saying he is interested by Henry (and what team wouldn't be, eh mate?!?), another of the Gooner brigade has spoken of how crucial it is we do not let our captain and talisman Thierry Henry slip away to pastures new.

Tommy Gunn spoke thus, to the Daily Star (it's a right riveting read, apparently...):

'Thierry is a big player for us. He is our captain and we need him,

'Of course it would be a blow if we lost him.I think we can challenge the top teams. We have shown that already by beating them.

'But we have had problems against the smaller teams. I think it is down to stuff we can work on.'

Spoken well, that man! Titi has imparted how he's not enjoying being at the wrong end of the top four, and neither are we as fans.

But the team is learning as a unit, and as Tommy Gunn says, it's in our hands, we know we have the beating of the top teams we vye with for the title, we need to be more ruthless and professional against the small teams.

How's about the opening day of the 2007-08 season to start as you mean to go on?
