Arsenal: Aliadi-Off

Middlesbrough have confirmed the capture of Arsenal striker, Jeremie Aliadiere.

Boro's cheif executive spilled the beans, revealing transfer fee's & personal terms have all been agreed and all the deal needs is for Jeremie to return from his jollies to complete the transfer.

'We have agreed a fee with Arsenal for Aliadiere and completed a deal with them,' Lamb told the club's official website.

'Everything is also agreed in principle with Jeremie and his transfer will be completed in the next couple of weeks. The only reason the deal hasn't already been completed is that the player is on holiday. We tried to sign Jeremie in January, but were thwarted by Arsenal's injury problems at the time.

'He fits perfectly the sort of player Gareth wants to bring to the club. He has pace and energy, and he is young with his best years in front of him.'

Aliadiere was once a hot prospect for the Gunners, but after years of being dogged by injury the French striker never seemed to be able to battle his way into the first team.

However in a time when all our supposed star players are speaking out in the press about their futures, Jeremie always stayed quiet, got his head down, and tried his best for the team, and for that I thank him.
