Wenger's Gunner Stay.......For Now!

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he will honour his contract at Arsenal before making a decision on his long-term future.

Wenger has been targeted by Europe's biggest clubs for years now, but has always rejected them in favour of staying at Arsenal.

But the departure of David Dein has once again cast serious doubts over Wenger's long-term future.

'I have a contract for one more year here and I will complete that contract,' he said.

'Next summer I will sit down with the board and see.

It's not the first time Wenger has left Arsenal fans in suspense, he has done so in previous contract negotiations. Being the shrude businessman he is, it's probably an attempt to get more money from the board and who can blame him?

Wenger went on to say: 'There's absolutely no need to panic. We finished fourth in the table - level on points with Liverpool - and we've a very young side which, I believe, can improve again this season.'

There is of course a chance that the outcome of next season could decide if Arsene Wenger's managerial days at Arsenal come to an end.

If Arsenal were to bounce back to win the Premiership, he might consider his 'project' at Arsenal complete, and go out on a high (Not the Rio Ferdinand kind of high).

If Arsenal were to fail to win the league again, he might want to have another crack at it.
