'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Babel Tells Of Wenger 'Dream'

Ajax forward Ryan Babel has told of his dream of playing under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Babel visited Arsenal back in January and was given a tour of Arsenal's training ground and shiny new Ashburton Grove stadium.

No deal was done, or at least not confirmed, back then, but rumours have again surfaced in recent weeks that the pacey-striker is set for a switch to Arsenal.

Rumoured to have a minimum fee release clause of around 6Million, a bargain for a player touted as the next Thierry Henry Marco Van Basten.

Indeed, the similarities between the two are clear to see. Both have incredible pace, strength, both started their career as a right-footed, left-winger.

Rumour has it that Arsenal have already had a contract drawn up for the Dutch International.

'If I get the chance one day to train with Arsene Wenger it would be a dream,' said Babel.

'From when I was young I supported Arsenal. I liked the style, the ambience, how they show themselves on the field - everything.'

Babel went on to speak of his admiration for the Premiership: 'I think it's maybe the best league, it's a very high level and there is good football.'
