Hammond Pickle

Hammond Pickle

Reading Director has performed an unexpected u-turn and elected to stay at the madeyoulookski (did I spell that right?) stadium, declining the offer to fill the position made vacant by the removing of David Dein.

It has been reported that Hammond was Arsene Wenger's preferred choice to step into the position at Arsenal.

However, Hammond had what is reported to be a last minute change of heart, and has decided his immediate future belongs with The Royals, and is to turn his attention to sorting out the re-negotiation of contracts at the Berkshire club.

So now attention has switched to Gilles Grimandi, who is now linked with the job at Arsenal.

The Grimster, whilst not necessarily winning a place in the hearts of all Gooners' during his playing career here, certainly did with his scything tackle on Edgar Davids in DB10's testimonial.

We await developments with interest, especially as there f**k all else going on.
