Babel: Nothing From Arsenal

Reported Arsenal targert Ryan Babel says that Arsenal have made no contact with his current employers to date.

The talented Dutch international has been touted to move to Arsenal this summer after showing great potential in the season just past.

The flying Dutchman played an excellent game against Stuart Pearce's England Under-21s on Wednesday to help knock England's youngsters out in the Semis.

He was seen visiting Arsenal's new stadium back in January, but said that it was a social visit to see his friend, and Arsenal striker, Robin Van Persie.

Since then the 21-year-old has expressed a desire to play under Arsene Wenger.

He has once again expressed that desire, while admitting that he is no where near a move to the team he supports.

He was asked by Sky Sports News if there had been any contact with Arsenal, he simply replied: 'No, nothing.'

He also praised Arsenal for the second time in less than 2 weeks, although this time there was no blatant 'come and get me' plea: 'I like their style, how they conduct themselves on the field - everything.'
