'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More Defensive Woe's

News that Ashley Cole has injured himself again is just what Wenger did not want to hear at the moment, because we are simply running out of left backs.

The England left back sustained a thigh injury and will be out until the FA Cup tie at Bolton.

With Clichy out till march and Pascal Cygan also decideding to be on the injury list, the options for left back are decidedly short.

“Unfortunately Ashley will not be ready for Everton and Pascal Cygan is out,” said Wenger in an exclusive interview with Arsenal TV Online on Thursday afternoon.

“So that gives us quite a problem in the left back position.

“Kerrea Gilbert could be back but I don’t know if I’ll play him there or somebody else. Still, we have a good chance of getting Sol Campbell back. He will have a test.”
