Eduardo: I Have A Lot To Prove

Arsene Wenger's biggest signing of the summer so far made his debut for Arsenal last night in a 3-0 win over Turkish side Genclerbirligi.

Croatian Eduardo Da Silva played the final 21 minutes of the match, which Arsenal won 3-0.

he didn't get on the score sheet but he looked sharp by all accounts, making some promising runs, as well as getting involved in the build up play.

Despite a promising debut, Dudu knows he still has plenty to prove: 'I know I have a lot more to do to prove myself.

The 24-year-old also reserved praise for his new team mates, espically new striker partner, Robin Van Persie: 'The rest of the squad is very good. Robin van Persie particularly impressed me tonight. But in my opinion, it is just important to be here with them and stay away from injuries.

'So far the training out here has not been difficult because we are using the ball more than we did when I was at Dinamo Zagreb.

'On the face of it, I feel there is no big difference between English and Croatian football.

It is just that in English football there are a lot less mistakes and the players are physically stronger than in Croatia. I am still adjusting to my new club but it is good.'

Eduardo is likely to get his first start for Arsenal next Wednesday when The Gunners play Salzburg as the continue their pre-season training camp and friendly schedule in Austria.

All our new signings played excellent last night .......Sagna was excellent while goin ahead..fabianaski pulled out 2 or 3 gr8 saves and da silva crossed the ball perfectly in the box right on Freddies head (who missed )....LOOKS LIKE ARSENE`S DONE IT AGAIN !
HENRY`14
I didnt see the match but who scored the goals?
afghenry
Charlie George(2) and Frank Stapleton.
SweetLeftFoot
van persie scored 2 & walcoot scored 1
HENRY`14
Dudu needs to get into the gym and bulk up a little bit perhaps? His attitude is great, but I wonder how he'll fare when he's at Ewood Park with that scum Savage trying to break his ankles.
Andy-bayor
I think he is mentally strong and has bags of skills and goood pace,no problem.
Babeasta
He doesnt have bags of skill in fact. He has the pace of Henry and the skill of senior Cygan...That will have to improve this tear or he will never replace Hleb! I hope he does because Thoe could be a great winger. Nothing against hleb btw.
Goofle
I also have to say that he would be a useful left winger in the Pires mould in a 433.
Goofle
Goof, you been drinking again!! Stop that :-)

Keep the zeal and get going - provide the goals boy
