'If It's Football, It's Vital'

3 Year Old Scouser Wins Competition

Far be it from me to steal Vital Chelsea's thunder, but I just have to comment.

Liverpool Football Club today revealed the plans and drawings for their new stadium, and they left me speechless.

The Mickey's will play their football in what can only be described as a monstrosity which looks like it was designed by a 3 year old Blue Peter viewer.

How does it compare to our new stadium?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. It looks pretty good to me. The stands look a bit square on and maybe the views aren't going to be as good from all areas as the Emirates.

Read that its based on a similar design to the new Cowboys NFL stadium almost like the Emirates is virtually a carbon copy of the Estadio de Luz in Lisbon. Looks like original stadium designs are going out the window.

It does look strange from outside, but apparently they have plans to build a single tier Kop, to maintain the atmosphere. If thats around, I dont think we will hear any liverpool fans complaining.

Not liking the look from the outside but looks alright from the inside. At least it's a bit different and unique, unlike the... er Emirates! Just looks souless and same all way around. Like a bigger version of the Walker's stadium, Pride Park, St Marys...etc etc.

There are similarities between Estadio de Luz and the Emirates but virtual carbon copy seems to be stretching it to me.

As much as I hate to agree with anyone here, I do have to say the design looks terrible!!!! Im sure its state of the art an all, but glad they are building the eye sore miles away from London

It looks bloody awful although it will be a very imposing atmosphere with the way the seats go up very steeply and almost hang over the pitch. Give me the Emirates any day.

inside is ok. outside is just some designer sitting down and trying to think of anything which could be diffrent. certainly is um... diffrent

How can they have all those straight edges on one side and all curves on the other sides. Then it has those huge gaps in the corners between the seating. Its ugly, its too American....I guess they will be serving hot dogs and bud light when it opens

The new Anfield will be the most daunting atmosphere in England. The Kop will be tremendous. It has the potential to be the biggest club stadium in England. It's better than The Emirates.

Liverpool fans might think we're just having a go for the sake of it, but I have to say this potential stadium doesn't do justice to a club of Liverpool's tradition. It feels too American, doesn't have a classic look or feel about it. I'm sure it will be impressive in a way that all new gleaming stadiums are but they really could have done a better job.

I will admit I bet the new kop will kick ass, but the rest of the stadium is just an eye sore.

I rather like the inside, it looks like it would have a great atmosphere... but that huge monstrous curvy-thingy on the outside looks rather hideous.
