'If It's Football, It's Vital'

3 Year Old Scouser Wins Competition

Far be it from me to steal Vital Chelsea's thunder, but I just have to comment.

Liverpool Football Club today revealed the plans and drawings for their new stadium, and they left me speechless.

The Mickey's will play their football in what can only be described as a monstrosity which looks like it was designed by a 3 year old Blue Peter viewer.

How does it compare to our new stadium?

Hideous is not an adequate word.

yea finding it hard to come up with the right words here too... umm... think i will stick with the emirates!
Unwell
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. It looks pretty good to me. The stands look a bit square on and maybe the views aren't going to be as good from all areas as the Emirates.
Amos.
Read that its based on a similar design to the new Cowboys NFL stadium almost like the Emirates is virtually a carbon copy of the Estadio de Luz in Lisbon. Looks like original stadium designs are going out the window.
Gromit
It does look strange from outside, but apparently they have plans to build a single tier Kop, to maintain the atmosphere. If thats around, I dont think we will hear any liverpool fans complaining.
prits
Not liking the look from the outside but looks alright from the inside. At least it's a bit different and unique, unlike the... er Emirates! Just looks souless and same all way around. Like a bigger version of the Walker's stadium, Pride Park, St Marys...etc etc.
Blade1889
There are similarities between Estadio de Luz and the Emirates but virtual carbon copy seems to be stretching it to me.
Amos.
As much as I hate to agree with anyone here, I do have to say the design looks terrible!!!! Im sure its state of the art an all, but glad they are building the eye sore miles away from London
huscarl
Looks s bit weird alrite..just wondering wer they will stick the away support!!
bobby_p
deary me looks like a giant waffle iron !
TR7
It looks bloody awful although it will be a very imposing atmosphere with the way the seats go up very steeply and almost hang over the pitch. Give me the Emirates any day.
adamski243
inside is ok. outside is just some designer sitting down and trying to think of anything which could be diffrent. certainly is um... diffrent
ArsenalRob
How can they have all those straight edges on one side and all curves on the other sides. Then it has those huge gaps in the corners between the seating. Its ugly, its too American....I guess they will be serving hot dogs and bud light when it opens
lukychmz
hahaha it looks like a cage or something
ahops101
looks nice i reckon
Goofle
Don't you wish you could get paid to sit on your poncy fat arse all day and f(u)ck about on design software spewing out random *****e and labelling it 'state-of-the-art'? I know I do!
Andy-bayor
The only thing i dont like is the inside. Its like they havent moved. Of course they want the Anfield feel but it is Anfield!
Goofle
looks s*** oh well at least we still have the nicest stadium in the prem
Thierry_Power
Surely thats just the car park?
nikolaijns
The new Anfield will be the most daunting atmosphere in England. The Kop will be tremendous. It has the potential to be the biggest club stadium in England. It's better than The Emirates.
Aamir
The new Anfield will be the most daunting atmosphere in England. The Kop will be tremendous. It has the potential to be the biggest club stadium in England. And liverpool will win the league 20 times in a row and will beat ever team 10-0....
lukychmz
The most daunting thing will be all the taxiing planes overhead looking for the runway!
nikolaijns
Aamir, how exactly is it better than the Emirates? They havent built it, FFS.
prits
Liverpool fans might think we're just having a go for the sake of it, but I have to say this potential stadium doesn't do justice to a club of Liverpool's tradition. It feels too American, doesn't have a classic look or feel about it. I'm sure it will be impressive in a way that all new gleaming stadiums are but they really could have done a better job.
Gooner_Vin
I will admit I bet the new kop will kick ass, but the rest of the stadium is just an eye sore.
Rocky7
Jealousy. That's all i can say for most of you.
YagamiRED
I rather like the inside, it looks like it would have a great atmosphere... but that huge monstrous curvy-thingy on the outside looks rather hideous.
devvil
i dont mind it that much and it'll grow on us so its no big deal. their fans will make it phenomenal and thats the most important thing
mish
It's the attraction at Lego Land
#1Gooner
dont no why people are ripping into it, its a nice ground and will hopefully help us win the rights to host the world cup, nice ground some have said looks unfinished and ye spose it does but as they have said they will make it bigger eventually, nice ground
Achilles
tried
Babeasta
