Wenger: Adebayor Needs Stability

Arsene Wenger has spoken out about new signing, Emmanuel Adebayor's outburst regarding the African Cup of Nations tournament.

Adebayor reportedly wanted to leave the squad and meet up with the Arsenal team after a ferocious row with Togo's coach.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Wenger said. 'At the moment Adebayor is in the newspapers a lot,' Wenger told Sky Sports News. 'I feel it's for some controversial reasons but I'm convinced it's mainly down to the fact that he's had no stability recently.

'He was half in Monaco and half signing for us.

'He missed their training but he has made the right decision to stay with his national team and fight for his international team in their second game and we'll assess the situation after that game.'

Although Wenger voiced the fact that no-one can know the full story until speaking with the player.

'Until you speak to the player you don't know what is true and what isn't,'

'I believe we will sort that out when he comes back.

'It's difficult for him because he's signed for a new club and can't play for us at the moment. He was over-reacting because of that.'

i think he was cross because he didnt start. i can understand this because his last competive game was in mid december and he wasnt fully fit. he just needs to get a couple of games first and get back to his best.
