Eduardo appeal successful

Arsenal.com have issues confirmation that our new summer striking signing Eduardo Da Silva has been issued with a work permit and cleared to play for the Gooners in the Premier League, after Arsenal appeal against the initial rejection was successful.

Dudu would have been able to play in the Amsterdam tournament, as the permit only applies to the UK, but now he has received clearance, every appearance counts as another match he can use to gain understanding with his new Arsenal teammates, with a view to cutting a swathe through defences en route to burying the ball.

With the appeal edging ever closer, some Arsenal fans had been growing increasingly nervous, lest Eduardo had his application turned down.

However, this is all consigned to the past, and we can look forward to seeing our new number nine strutting his stuff up and down the country in the red and white.

1-1 at halftime v lazio...probably fair at the moment nothing to say about the game except hoyte has been caught out of position at least 4 times now. maybe not 4 but it feels like 4. good goal from bendtner and lazy goal to concede. our first string would have torn them apart but i think at this time alot of teams are still unfit.

Great goal from Eduardo and I can't wait to see him terrorise defences in the premiership week in week out.

Dudu looked sharp today, though he took a little too long to get his shot off. Will improve that I suppose, but promising signs.

Nice to score from a corner, we often win a lot of corners but waste them. And how about Bendtner's goal, great skill from a tight angle with the keeper fumbling around his ankles.

What do we reckon about Sparta Prague? We need to be on our 'A' game from the off - at least we have the second leg away. Rangers and Liverpool got easy draws, us and Celtic didn't.

As long as we avoided Fenerbache and Moscow, I didn't really mind. I'll do a rundown on Prague at lunchtime.
