Huge game this weekend, and I actually have a good feeling about this one. Beat them last year, were the better team in the first game of the season and they're not as tight at the back as they used to be!

I think we'll nick it 2-1

I agree we have a chance and City are hot and cold like us. Unfortunately we can't rely on Mario this time. With Utd the obvious exception we have "turned up" for all the big games this year so with the week to recover I hope we are primed for the occasion.

I am most curious as to how Wenger is going to manage the squad with a view to the Swansea replay and Chelsea games to follow. My preference is for him to gamble with "mandatory" subs around 60 mins to maintain freshness over the week. I'd definitely like to see TR7 get a run for Caz or Jack.

Given City's large centre back pairing we def need Giroud and not Walcott. I expect City to defend deep and frustrate us and I can't see Walcott doing any damage through the middle if that is the case.

A completely agree. Giroud showed in fits and starts vs Swansea exactly why he needs to starts vs City whilst Theo showed all game that he needs to be more disciplined when asked to play out wide.

If he neglects he duties as he did on Sunday then Sagna is in for a hell of a time.

Sagna would be facing Silva and Clichy. Wouldn't make for a happy day out as Aguerro and Tevez would destroy Mertesacker.

If Theo signs I wonder if Wenger will immediately bench him? After some of his glory boy antics he needs a reminder of his place in the universe

Ha! Would be a timely reminder, but he is one of our best players and we need him on the pitch in these big games.

It's gutting to see what happened yesterday happen, not only does it take away from the game, but it kind of makes the performance void, we can't take much away from it.

It makes it difficult to tell whether we've improved in form or whether the boys stepped up to battle the circumstances.

But that said, Kos really let us down yesterday, what a dumb thing to do. Despite him being, for the most part, an excellent defender, he does seem prone to these kind of brain farts.

The two goals aside though I though the boys did a pretty good job. That's more fight than we've seen in them for a while.
