Man Utd v Arsenal

When the fixtures for the new season are released, no matter how many titles Chelsea buy, I can gurantee you that out of the first two fixtures that the Arsenal & Man Utd fans look for tomorrows game is one of them.

For me, Man Utd are still our biggest rivals, it's against them that we have spent so long battling, and in battle I have grown acustomed to hating them.

This game at Old Trafford is the one I want most, not only to get our season kick started but also because it's been so long since we actually won there, infact, if my memory serves me correctly the last time we recorded a league victory at their gaff was that fateful night in 2002. We need this one.

Whatever happens the atmosphere is bound to be rocking and it's more than likely that something controversial will happen, it always does.

Come on you Gunners!!

Arsene Says......

"I want to win, I feel it will be a different game to the games we faced until now. At the moment we've played more games agianst teams who try to catch us on the break, refuse to come out and refuse to play. This time it will be a more open game so maybe more interesting for us and for people to watch as well."

Arsenal Team News:

It's looking as though Arsenal will be without Thierry Henry, but as my esteemed colleague Tim Stillman pointed out, Henry has only ever scored one goal at OT, and we got tonked that day. Kolo Toure has survived an injury scare and we still wait on news of Robin van Persie.

Player to watch: Tomas Rosicky

After absolutely spanking a 30 yarder in in mid week the Czech captain's confidence will be up, and he's already looking mighty good to press anyway.

Man Utd Team News:

Wayne Rooney returns from susspension & Ryan Giggs will miss out through injury.

Player to watch: Wayne Rooney

He just loves playing against Arsenal, and almost always scores. (Not in the cup final though eh Wayne;))

Match Prediction

I'm leaving this one well alone. Yes I know I'm a bottler.

Target Silvestre, Eboue and Hleb must push him back, thus not allowing him to come forward and cross to good effect (like last year!) and expose his defensive weakness. Come on you Yellows!

where is all the rivalry gone? i don't see any article on united's site about our game tomm and even on our arsenal page, there isn't much of a discussion happening between the two sets of fans, it's only arsenal and the chelsea fans having a go with each other. i wanna see some passionate go's at each other between us and the united fans before tomm's match. lets build up the atmosphere for tommorrow's game on vf..

Yes but yours is a history of mediocrity. Any fans who believes or expects a team can win a trophy every year is a fool, but at the end of the day you and your lot predict the demise of Arsenal Footbal Club this season with your own boys usrpassing us in the league, when after 5 games (four for us though) it is plainly obvious that our team is much improved where as your manager has bought a whole host of players who are doing your chances of Champions League football ever bit of a chance that we Gooners hoped for. Nice to see your new boy diving to the floor like he'd been shot, any plans for an artile over at Vital Spurs condeming him??

If Spurs days are just begining and ours are over how come you fans have booed your team off for the past two games and we have been celebrating like it's 1998??!!?? If you think our time is gone then you're a bigger fool than I first thought!!

Just thought I would shre this with you guys............A Spurs fan, a Watford fan and a Scum fan came across a nude, dead woman in the street. They called the police and then, for decency, decided to cover her up. The Spurs fan put his cap over one breast, the Watford fan put his cap over the other, and the Gooner put his cap "down below". When the police arrived they needed to examine the body. The policeman lifted the Spurs cap and looked at one breast, then he lifted the Watford cap and examined the other. He then walked away from the body. The Spurs fan said: "Aren't you going to examine "down below?" "Nope", The copper replied, "I already know that under every Arsenal cap is a cu*t!"
