When the fixtures for the new season are released, no matter how many titles Chelsea buy, I can gurantee you that out of the first two fixtures that the Arsenal & Man Utd fans look for tomorrows game is one of them.
For me, Man Utd are still our biggest rivals, it's against them that we have spent so long battling, and in battle I have grown acustomed to hating them.
This game at Old Trafford is the one I want most, not only to get our season kick started but also because it's been so long since we actually won there, infact, if my memory serves me correctly the last time we recorded a league victory at their gaff was that fateful night in 2002. We need this one.
Whatever happens the atmosphere is bound to be rocking and it's more than likely that something controversial will happen, it always does.
Come on you Gunners!!
"I want to win, I feel it will be a different game to the games we faced until now. At the moment we've played more games agianst teams who try to catch us on the break, refuse to come out and refuse to play. This time it will be a more open game so maybe more interesting for us and for people to watch as well."
It's looking as though Arsenal will be without Thierry Henry, but as my esteemed colleague Tim Stillman pointed out, Henry has only ever scored one goal at OT, and we got tonked that day. Kolo Toure has survived an injury scare and we still wait on news of Robin van Persie.
After absolutely spanking a 30 yarder in in mid week the Czech captain's confidence will be up, and he's already looking mighty good to press anyway.
Wayne Rooney returns from susspension & Ryan Giggs will miss out through injury.
He just loves playing against Arsenal, and almost always scores. (Not in the cup final though eh Wayne;))
I'm leaving this one well alone. Yes I know I'm a bottler.
