Charlton v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger will be looking to make sure Arsenal don't suffer a fourth defeat on the trott, the first time that will have happened since 1066, by trying to inspire his players to great things.

Arsenal are now 20 points adrift from the top of the table and are actually closer to relegation than to the title. With Arsenal traditionally a better team in the new year, AW will want to secure maximum points over the Christmas and New Year period.

With home ties against Portsmouth and Manchester United and away days at Charlton and Villa, Wenger will be hoping for at least 10 points.

Vital Quotes:

“It is very important to me that Arsenal are the best team in the country, At the moment we are not.'

Charlton Team News:

Charlton are just as bad, if not worse than us this season :)

Player to watch: Danny Murphy

Has really come into his own since joining Charlton, a real goal threat from midfield.

Arsenal Team News:

Thierry Henry and RvP face late fitness tests with the latter almost certain to miss out, Cole and Clichy obviously missing out with long term injuries and the only good news is that Jose Antonio Reyes will be set to make a return.

Player to watch: Alexander Hleb

Looked sharp in midweek, lots of running on the ball and all the creative play going through him.
