Aston Villa v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger will look to make it two away wins on the trott as his Arsenal team travels to Villa Park on New Years Eve.

Arsenal appear to be in what I would call a mini revival, and victory tomorrow would see Arsene's men have taken a maximum nine points out of nine over the Christmas period, meaning a pretty good run of form leading into the Man Utd match.

Arsenal looked to be getting back to their passing best against Charlton with a lot more effort seemingly going into the performance, that was backed up on Wednesday day with a similar performance but this time more clinical with their finishing.

If Arsenal can take four points out of their next two matches, it will stand them in good stead for a Champions League place dogfight.

Vital Quotes:

“We had a good win away at Charlton so my aim now is to go for another one.”

Arsenal Team News:

Arsene Wenger will be without Gilberto who has suffered a groin injury, so it's likely Fabregas and Flamini will be central midfield partners.

We welcome Robin van Persie back to the fold to add some extra fire power.

Player to watch: Jose Antonio Reyes

Reyes seems to have found his form, he has played well all season but now seems to have found his shooting boots.

I correctly predicted he would score against Portsmouth and I'm putting him down for a brace against Villa.

Aston Villa Team News:

Wilfred Bouma is ruled out with and knee injury and joins Olof Mellberg on the side lines.

Player to watch: Milan Baros

A deadly striker on his day, has come into scoring form and will be looking to hurt the Gunners.
