Everton v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has been a very busy man over the last 7 days, with the signings of Diaby, Adebayor and Theo Walcott being the bread of a Middlesbrough bashing sandwich.

The new players seemed to give the current squad an instant boost, with the Gunners smashing 7 past the boys from the Riverside only 24 hours after Arsene opened his cheque book. None of the newbies have donned the Redcurrant shirt yet, but the mear presence of fresh faces at the Highbury training ground is enough to give us a lift.

With Henry announcing his desire to stay, it seems to have given him a new lease of life, he looks, once more, like he has a hunger to score goals for the Gunners.

Watch out Tofffee's Titi is coming for you.

Arsene Says.......

“We want to get as close to Chelsea as we can at the top of the table, that means we have to pass over teams in front of us, including Tottenham'

Arsenal Team News:

After a breif appearance last week, Ashley Cole is out again, although its only a slight thigh strain and he should be back for the next game, Toure and Eboue are both on international duty, and Clichy and Cygan both out. Robin van Persie still a doubt.

Big Sol returns to strengthen the defence, whilst Abou Diaby gets a place on the bench.

Player to watch: Thierry Henry

A few weeks ago he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, now, he's a free man, his awesome hatrick last week gives Everton something to worry about.

Everton Team News:

Neville Southall.............he still plays doesn't he??

Player to watch: Duncan Ferguson

He'll have your wallet away as soon as your back is turned :)
