Arsenal v Wigan

Arsene Wenger is preparing to get his season back on track by trying to reach another major final. The Gunners are currently 1-0 down to the Latics, but Wenger has opted to put a strong team out in order to overhaul the deficit.

The decision goes against the grain somewhat, as the Arsenal manager usually opts for youth and fringe players in this competition in order to give his younger players experience and his regulars a rest.

It appears now, that with this season not going to plan, Arsene is going all out to try and win the only domestic trophy that eludes him.

Arsene Says.........

“In this competition I have always put out a side to win the game, this time the adjustment needs to be strong. We lost the first game 1-0 and we want to go through to the Final. Therefore you will see a few experienced players.'
