'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Liverpool 1 - Arsenal 0

Valentines Day

Attendance: Loads of Scouser and Some Gooners

Mush's Match Report

We lost again, enough said :(

Star Player

Jens Lehmann - was the best player from both teams. Liverpool threw everything at him and he threw it straight back. Saves from Senderos, yes Senderos, a Gerrard penalty, Kewell, Fowler and Hamann.....and he almost pushed out Garcia's goal. Awesome performance that will have Oliver Kahn shaking in his gloves.

Player Ratings

Jens Lehmann

Mad Jens is in fine form, and looks certain to make Germany's number one spot his own.

Manu Eboue

Only just back from the African Nations, lost Kewell a couple of times, but worked very hard, tried to help when going forward. Looks like a very good prospect.

Mathieu Flamini

A very acomplished performance. Playing out of position is never easy, but tackled well and, as usual, worked his socks off.

Kolo Toure

Welcome back my friend. We just look so much more solid with him in the team.

Philliepe Senderos

Looks dodgy everytime he plays. Can someone please teach him how to kick a ball.

Robert Pires

Did he play?

Freddie Ljungberg

Is, at last, working harder, but with no end product. Doing a lot of running, but not much else. How is it that a 15 goal a season man hasn't got a single premiership goal this term?

Cesc Fabregas

An old head on young shoulders. The kid tries so hard, but we can't expect a 7 stone, 5 foot, 18 year old to carry the entier midfiled.

Go now, please.

Manu Adebayor

Worked tirelessly for the cause, no service though.

Thierry Henry

This is our captain? Ok he had no service, but he needs to decide what he wants. Even if he admits he is going, he would still play better with the weight from his shoulders. Come on Titi, we won't hold it against you.

Alex Hleb

10 minutes, one run, not enough time.

Manager Rating

Will Wenger ever learn how to utilise his bench to to maximise the benefit.

Opponent Rating

Will he ever find the pink panther?

Ref Watch

This man is a joke. How can you give a penalty for that. Fortunately, Mad Jens made sure justice was done.

excellent report! :P
I could not agree with you more,am still annoyed now. We cannot continue to carry players like Pires,Ljungberg,Gilberto,Senderos,Flamini in our team, we are becoming also rans who think that 100% effort isn't required to win matches. AW boobed big time when he let the crux of English talent slip past, Robinson, Carrick,Dawson,Sidwell,Bentley,Upson would have formed the backbone of a side that could get stuck in and mix that will some classy foreigners but we have too much of one and no character!
ha ha ha he he he ho ho ho. Viera wohoo Viera wohoo.
I think that post is a bit unfair andros. Ljunberg and Gilberto yes they have been shocking! Senderos has been playing on the wrong side of defence most of the season! Flamini might not be the best technical player in the world but he gives 110% and can mix it. alot of the English players mentioned were not good enough and didnt want to wait till they were!
Jens has really proved his worth this season, a shoe in for Germanys number one spot in the world cup.
