Champions League, you're havin a laugh.
Arsenal played in a lackluster match as they'd already qualified top of the group. Still, it was a happy day for almost everyone.
Man Utd crashed out of europe in spectacular fashion.
Yes I realise this is the Arsenal site, but, when all's said and done, our game was a nothing match, a dull 0-0 draw, and the Man Utd match was so funny, the Late Ronnie Barker would have struggled to rival it.
With Ginger Scholes putting the Red Devils ahead everything was looking rosy, until Giovanni smashed a diving header past Van Der Sar and not long later joy ensued when Beto fired one from 20 yards that nicked off Scholes for him to get his second of the game.
Comedy.
The news of the result brought the biggest cheer of the night at Highbury, and we all left happy Gooners.
