I have to really ask..... Why spend money on a player like Park and NOT use them in the game?
The Special Gunn
Wenger has spent money on many players alas only 11 can play at any one time. Could be part of the reason don't you think? DOH !!!!
Jambug
It is a very long season yet. The players will get many games and you don't rush guys from a far different Clime and footie culture into the EPL.
Naijagunner
If Park can't get ahead of Gervinho Wally or Arshavin in their woeful collective form then the only feasible explanation is he must have lost a lower limb in a freak landshark attack and the club have hushed it up. Either that or he's significantly gasher than the aforementioned three, so I'm going for landshark as it's too depressing to contemplate the latter.
nikolaijns
Jambug - When the score is 1-1 or we are chasing a game like the Sp*rs match and we use Mertesacker upfront in the last 10 minutes instead of our last substitution which could of been Park TSG has every right to ask. DER!!
LondonGooner
I think Park was bought for commercial reasons in the far east.
Sir Henry
It does make you wonder why have him on the bench at all? Chamakh left out of the 18 for the second time in a row too, yet Park hasn't been used when we're chasing games in the last 15? Most odd.
Little Dutch
Especially when you consider that his international form has been excellent this season.
LondonGooner
Maybe Park stayed on the bench because Arsene was confident that the players on the field would get a winning goal? What with Arsenal outplaying their opposition for 90 minutes and having twice as many shots (or, according to the stats above, almost three times as many shots on target). Would you have subbed RVP,, the way he was playing? Good thing he only cost a few mil, if you're worried about wasting money...
damiano_tommassi
damiano_tommassi - and what was the reason for not playing him against Sp*rs when we had one substitution left and we were losing into the last 10 minutes? Then decides to put Mertesacker upfront.....
LondonGooner
Yet, Walcott got to start the game and lasted 90 mins. He was absolutely rubbish for the 95 mins he was on the pitch.
fcdematthew
LD, where is your match report?
prits
valuable away point and never a result to be sniffed at up at Sunderland
The Fear
LG - Arsenal's last sub was made after 77 mins, so having already brought on Benayoun and Arshavin (and being forced to put Jenkinson on after Sagna's injury), it wasn't an option to play Park.
